The perception of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the teaching-learning process among Dominican university students has recently been the subject of study, revealing diverse attitudes and a growing interest in its integration. The research focused on undergraduate students from ISFODOSU, UTESA, UAPA, and UASD. The results indicated that, without proper guidance from teachers, students tend to use AI as a tool for studying and generating texts, considering it an ally in their educational process. However, there is also a perceived low openness from teachers towards the integration of this technology. Additionally, it has been observed that the use of AI in academic writing is on the rise, although concerns about ethics and learning quality are emerging.
