Abstract

Teenage pregnancy continues to be a challenge for the Dominican school because the fertility rate in this population group resists downward and is the main cause of female school dropouts. To provide information from a cultural and gender sensitive approach to pregnancy prevention initiatives, a study has been carried out based on data from the 2018 ENHOGAR Adolescents Module. The research analyzes the opinion of 15 to 19-year-old girls about pregnancy and the motivations to support the idea of being a mother in adolescence.
