
At ISFODOSU, Luis Napoleón Núñez Molina Campus, it is observed that women’s participation in physical activities is low due to social, cultural and structural barriers, which perpetuate gender stereotypes and discourage their involvement in sports. In this sense, the study aims to promote the empowerment of women through participation in physical activities and the development of Quality Physical Education (QPE) in this institution. The approach is quantitative with descriptive approach. A Google Form with 9 multiple-choice items was applied to 53 female students of the RLNNM, using a non-probabilistic sample by convenience. The results show that 84.9% of the respondents participate occasionally in physical activities, 7.5% several times a week, 5.7% daily and 1.9% once a week. This reflects the low frequency of participation in physical activities. It is concluded that gender stereotypes, lack of adequate infrastructure and limited schedules influence the low female participation, evidencing the need to implement measures to promote women’s empowerment and participation in sports.
