Abstract

The Technical Professional Education (ETP) emerged with the creation of Schools of Arts and Crafts to address the educational needs of young people and the demand from productive sectors for qualified professionals. Our youth receive comprehensive training in social and technical skills for their job placement, entrepreneurship, and the continuation of their higher education. The strengthening project for technical professional education (ETP) aims to provide relevant equipment to ETP centers, appoint the required teaching and administrative staff, train them, and update existing teaching personnel.

For this strengthening initiative, 307 centers of this modality were identified, and the equipment process has been divided into 3 stages. Each stage will involve the adaptation and equipping of workshops and laboratories, the recruitment and appointment of teaching and administrative staff, training and updating of personnel, and the enhancement of capabilities to effectively connect with productive sectors. The expected outcomes of the project include increased retention and promotion within the technical and vocational education modality, higher employment rates for graduates of this modality, and the equipping of 235 workshops and laboratories in ETP centers.
