Abstract

This is an ongoing investigation that aims to generate a description and subsequent analysis of the construction of metaphorical categories by novice teachers in different contexts in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. This inquiry goes after obtaining the elements that constitute the metaphors that are elucidated around the conception of teaching work in the first years of professional work. This study is placed in the qualitative approach, where the methodology is considered hybrid, since it combines ethnomethodological elements, since it takes up different contexts through the participating actors and enters in combination with phenomenological elements since the subjective perceptions of the participants are used. participating novice teachers, in relation to the initial exercise in the work of teaching. The technique is the written survey, with the technique applied through a written input instrument (written prompts). The sample of participants is deliberate in different educational levels of the three countries mentioned. The study seeks to recognize the different metaphorical elaborations of what new teaching is, according to the factors that are perceived from the personal perspective in different social and professional environments.
