General 

The Ideice International Congress is an annual event organized by the Dominican Institute for Evaluation and Research in Education Quality (Ideice), whose main function is to provide scientific support for educational management in the Dominican Republic. The congress brings together researchers, evaluators, educators, and individuals interested in educational topics to present papers, share research and educational evaluation findings, and promote dialogue and debate on the work of schools. 

Focus 

The focus of the Ideice International Congress is the evaluation and research of educational quality, with the aim of fostering continuous improvement in education in the Dominican Republic and worldwide. Its thematic scope is broad and includes various topics related to educational evaluation and research, such as educational program evaluation, teacher performance evaluation, education quality evaluation, educational research, use of technology in education, educational policies, among others.

Publications

Until 2015, these proceedings were printed and distributed to attendees, as well as to regional and district directors, among others. However, in 2016, the organizing committee made a valuable decision: to leave paper behind and adopt a digital format. This transition not only wanted to reduce the environmental impact, but also to offer greater visibility to the papers presented, making them accessible from the institutional portal of the congress.

The real leap forward occurred in 2023, when the proceedings of the Ideice International Congress migrated to the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. This platform not only allowed greater visibility, but also brought additional rigor to the publication process, ensuring that each article went through a thorough and transparent review. This migration raised the prestige of the congress and underlined Ideice's commitment to scientific excellence and the dissemination of knowledge.
